Something on Instagram or YouTube isn't hidden any more

The sites change their layout often. In FeedOff, open Settings → Filter rules → Check for updates. Fixes usually ship within a day of a change. If it's still broken, open an issue with a screenshot, or email us.

The Shield isn't blocking the app

• Check Settings → Shield in FeedOff: Screen Time access must be allowed, at least one app chosen, and the mode set to Always on or a schedule that covers right now.
• Screen Time must be turned on in the iPhone's own Settings app.
• If you use Screen Time with a family organiser, their settings can override FeedOff's.

Instagram asks me to log in again

The first login in FeedOff is separate from the Instagram app, and Instagram may ask for a one-time code as it does for any new browser. After that you stay logged in. If you get logged out repeatedly, tell us which iOS version you're on.

I don't get DM notifications from FeedOff

That's expected: web pages can't send push notifications. Keep the real Instagram app installed and shielded. Its notifications still arrive; tapping one shows the block screen, and the FeedOff widget takes you to the message.

How do I add the widgets?

Long-press an empty area of the Home Screen, tap the + button, search for FeedOff, and add Instagram Lite or YouTube Lite. For the Lock Screen, long-press the Lock Screen, tap Customise, and add FeedOff to the widget row.

Is my data safe?

Yes. There's no account, and FeedOff never sees your login. Everything stays on your phone. Details on the privacy page.
